The Faculty of Health’s dedicated researchers and scientists are striving to advance new treatments, diagnostics, and disease prevention strategies. Their goal is to improve patient outcomes and make a positive impact on global healthcare. From tackling brain tumours to creating vaccines, exploring tissue regeneration, and developing innovative cancer drugs, these efforts are made possible with your support.

In the past year, our researchers achieved significant milestones. They pioneered a potentially game-changing technique for discovering and developing new treatments for common autoimmune diseases like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease. They are collaborating with Marine scientists to explore the discovery of new antibiotics. They have actively contributed to parliamentary discussions on regional variations in dementia diagnosis, especially in rural communities, providing valuable suggestions to address these challenges. They delved into the potential of a ground-breaking analytical tool for wider use in diagnosing and treating various types of brain tumours.

By donating to support research in the Faculty of Health your donation will support projects including brain tumour research, dementia research, Huntington’s disease research, non–Hodgkin’s Lymphoma research, oral cancer research, Parkinson’s disease research and multiple sclerosis research.
