Researchers in our Faculty of Science and Engineering are delivering world leading research on renewable energy, contributing to legislation to control microplastics in the environment, and discovering ways to promote natures renewal.

In the last year research has uncovered new ways to assess the quality of agricultural land in a cost-effective manner, has helped to understand the effects of peatlands in addressing climate change. Our expertise and unique facilities place us at the forefront of research in offshore renewable energy, leading the UK's development for a cleaner energy future.  Our research uses interdisciplinary methods to work across boundaries and the support of alumni like you ensures that we can continue to do this, thank you.
