At the University of Plymouth, our pioneering spirit runs deep in the quest for a better tomorrow. We need your help to ensure that all students with the potential to excel have a chance to study at Plymouth.

We know that that embarking on such an exciting experience of moving to a new city, finding a new support network, and starting a university degree can be daunting. Some students, such as those from low-income families, care leavers, students estranged from their families, young adult carers, and students from Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller communities, may encounter additional challenges in accessing higher education.

By supporting these students, we have the power to break down the financial barriers to achieving a university education. Making sure that those who secure a place at Plymouth also receive the necessary support to successfully navigate their academic journey. The financial challenges associated with pursuing higher education, such as relocation expenses, living essentials, crucial study materials, and mandatory field trips, can be overwhelming. Extending financial assistance can alleviate this burden, enabling these students to seamlessly immerse themselves in university life alongside their peers.

By donating to support our students your donation will support The Plymouth Fund and other funds that support our students (including the Tamar Engineering Project, medical electives, intercalation, and many more).
